It is important parents continue to have the right to appeal any school admission decisions. To enable this, we will be following the regulatory changes that came into force in April 2020 and apply until 30 September 2022. The new regulations relax some of the current requirements set out in the School Admission Appeals Code 2012, giving admission authorities flexibility to manage appeals whilst ensuring families are supported and not disadvantaged by current measures to protect public health.
If your child is due to start primary school in September 2022 you can appeal between 19th April -17th May 2022 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 15th July 2022. For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals. For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
Once you have received an offer of a place and have accepted it, you will be required to complete our School Admission Form. Please contact the school office for a School Admission Form.

Our adventure playgrounds are designed to be an area where less able and able-bodied children can play together and seeks to provide for the physical, creative, social and education development of your children. Playgrounds encourage children to explore and follow their imaginations; learning whilst they play.
The facilities provided comply with European and British legislation. However it is now recognised that risk taking is an important element of play and physical development. Parents and carers must note that the design of our playgrounds do allow for a degree of risk. This helps your child develop an appreciation of risk in a controlled environment rather than taking similar risks in the uncontrolled and unregulated wider world.

Assemblies take place on – Mondays at 9:00am – 9.20am and the rest of the week at 10.20am – 10.40am
As many of you are aware, the school will often have events where parents/carers are invited into the school and we are sure that you would like to take pictures or videos of these events. If you wish to take pictures or videos at such an event, there is a strong possibility that other children will also be included within the picture. We do have some families, within our school, who do not wish for their children’s images to be taken and published.
Whilst we all enjoy and treasure images of our families and friends, we must ensure we protect and safeguard all children and staff, including those who do not want their images stored or shared online.
- Once posted and shared online, any image or video can be copied and will stay online forever. On social media websites, once you post the image, they own the rights of the image and can use this for their own use.
- Some children are at risk and MUST NOT have their image put online. Not all members of the community will know who they are.
- Some people do not want their images online for personal or religious reasons.
- Some children and staff may have a complex family background which means that sharing their image online can have unforeseen consequences.
Therefore, in order to keep all members of the community safe, we must all ‘Think Before We Post’ online. At school, we are happy for parents and carers to take photos and videos for personal use of their individual children, however, we request that these images are not distributed or put online. This is to protect all members of the community. We would advise parents and carer’s to turn off their mobile devices during any performances and refrain from taking photos, so that the children are not being distracted whilst performing. There will be always be an opportunity at the end of a performance for parents and carers to take an individual photo of their child.
If this is found to be abused or not adhered to we will have to consider the prohibition of the use of cameras and videos at these events. We hope you will support us in this.
